Alarmed by unwanted advances from men in her previous positions, Grace is desperate to hide her dangerously attractive appearance and her growing feelings for her new employer. OMG I LOVED THIS BOOK. I bought this before adopting my first greyhound (February 2000) and I have taken it to MANY Meet & Greets over the years. He has always been a disciple of John Wooden. This was an absolutely beautiful book and piece of work. He explained this in one of his earlier books stating, "As a kid I decided that if our society dictated that one had to be black or white, I would be black. The ending is somewhat happy, even without reading the entire book once it registers that this is the author's personal story, the mere fact that this book is written and published should tell you that everything eventually ends well for the author. Still, it is a nice, pleasant read. I really enjoyed reading all the Westmorelands' stories. He received the 1987 Cervantes Prize, the Spanish-speaking world's highest literary honor. This is a beautiful and touching story. Also familiar is the author's scrambling of time sequencing in the book. He has lectured at Rutgers University, New York University, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Seton Hall University, and is currently Assistant Professor of English at the University of Aveiro in Portugal.
