This book was wonderful. This last novella-sized work, posted posthumously and written just months before his death of lung cancer at age 71, is particularly affecting. Since I play chess, I am happy to have found this book. PreK-3-aged appropriate, but I suspect when your child gets older he or she will want to re-read this delightful book periodically. My 7th graders love this book. I highly recommend buy the book, is very well written and easy to understand. And this work, translated by Professor Munk, is a must buy. It's really a slight masterpiece, and I can't imagine a kid who wouldn't be inspired to give it a try after breezing through these wonderful pages. Honestly, I'm not quite sure why they were myself, but I think MacDonald wanted to make an allegory out of this book (although I don't think it suits well for a children's book). Because Seton generously shares her memories, the reader feels that they have known these visitors too. Midwest Book Review. I highly recommend this spirited and wonderful book.
